Day Two In Bruges

The weather today was amazing which helped our sightseeing -- you will see clear blue skies in the photos.

Bruges is a magical city. The people are very friendly and receptive to tourists.

Today's highlight was probably climbing the 366 steps up the Belfort Tower. I was not sure Mom and Dad would be up for it but they never skipped a beat agreeing to do it. They are very game travelers.

I'll let the photos do the rest of the talking. It's getting late here and we need to get off early tomorrow for Atomium, Terverun, and Waterloo. I'll get to drive my black Mercedes diesel again.

This is taken from the belltower at Belfort in the City Market Grote Markt.

Bruges rooflines
Most of these buildings date from the 15th and 16th centuries. Bruges is a Medieval city frozen in time.

I asked Mom to pose a contemplative pose. Dad and PT are on the bridge. Bruges means bridge in Flemish.
