Little Corn to Granada

So to sum up Little Corn in one word it would be 'wow'. Everyday we'd wake up to picture postcard scenery (and free coffee). Throw in five dives, a few drinks, cheap street food and the best bed we've had since leaving England, the last 6 nights have been out of this world.

It makes us feel very spoilt, it has felt like having a holiday, mid holiday.

There are no cars, bikes or golf carts on the island, just one strip of pavement along one side of the island, and paths and beaches around the rest. The walk to Casa Iguana was through a jungle/forest, whilst this was very nice during the day, night time required a few beers for courage before setting off.

The one cool thing was that at night the path had loads of fireflies, we would have tried to take a photo but for fear of being eaten by the jungle monsters we didn't hang around long enough. Luckily it was the last night that Cole, our dive master, told us about the time she had seen a massive boa fall out of a tree after catching a bird and land on the ground next to her.

Other than the bugs, big and small, we could have easily stayed. The people, both locals and ex pats were very friendly and we really felt like we fit in straight away. Little Corn will go on the 'must go back again' list.

Well, due to a return flight booked from Big Corn, we had to peel ourselves away. It's not such a hardship really as we are now in Granada. We've not done much adventuring yet, but we do know that it's cheaper than the Corn Islands for food, accommodation and beer. Perfeck.

Love, love and more love

Little Corn sounds and looks idyllic. I'm surprised you managed to drag yourselves away. How has Sheryl managed to avoid tanning whilst Stephen could easily pass for a Latin American?

So, so beautiful - and that's you two! You both look so happy and well. Yes, give us a kingsize ensuite with aircon (with a couple of kennels of course) - and I think we could quite easily settle in Little Corn. Keep happy. xxx
