Hey everybody. Sorry havnt emailed for a while but have been doing crazy things in Oz! Just back from sleeping in the bush!!!

First things first....HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO JO, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO JO, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO JO ( MY LITTLE SISTER WHO IS NOW 24!!!!-SHIT), HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO HER!!!

So arrived in Mebourne and Dawn took us refuge. She let us wash and clean our clothes and gave us fancy things like milk!!! Cereal tastes so good when its not with condensed milk!! We arrived at the start of the Commonwealth games so a fantastic atmosphere. Everywhere buzzing. All locals happy as Australia was winning everything!!! Had a good time just wandering along the river frequenting the nice coffee houses and bars ( oops budget out the window ). We went to Ramsey street!!! so weird walking around there. The road is so small and they have to have a security guard to fend off the annoying Brits who apparently want to conceive on Harolds lawn!!! Had to kiss the ground where sexy Stuart lives!!! We got tickets to the games and saw the athletics. In the gods and Beth nearly had her head cut off by an over excited child with a flag but still great time. We were the only english in our section but was ok as didnt have much to cheer about anyway-england are rubbish!

We left Melbourne to get to Alice Spings via 3 tours. The first the Great Ocean Road ( we saw the 12 apostles from a helicopter-so cool ... thats the budget completely out now!!! but had to be down. Amazing!!!). We also climbed a rather large mountain in the Grampians. No one told us we were doing more treks. Just small walks we were told!!! liars!!!

After this we warrived in Adelaide and Cara who we met in Vietnam took us under her wing. Showed the important things like the wineries. Mine and Beths heaven! Went to 4 places and were pissed by 1pm!! That night she showed us the night scene. Must have been good as we never went to bed!!! Thank you Cara for letting us stay and showing us a good time . Blame you and Jimmy completely for my horrific hangover on the bus the next day!!!

Next tour was up to Alice Springs. Literally 2 days on a bus. Stopped for the night at Cobber Peddy where we had to sleep in bunkers under the ground as so hot! Felt like we were in the war.

Once in Alice we did a 3 day tour of Ayres rock, Kings Canyon and Kata Tjuta. Random rocks in the middle of the desert. Loys more treking over these rather large rocks which we later realised we were told about if we had bothered to read the brochure!!! "a fun tour for the more energetic and fit"-( mental note - read the tours before booking!!!) My whole body hurts!!! Our luxury accomodation was swags ( aussie sleeping bags ) and the stars!!! Along with a few spiders, lizzards and a Dingo!!! My sister would have hated this place-spiders everywhere! Suprising how you dont care when your so knackered!!!

Now back to Alice and catching a flight to Cairns latter. Apparently there has just been a cyclon which has destroyed quite a few things and have heard many stories of backpackers stranded ( mental note...check weather before booking to go to places).

Just relaxing today as our guide took us out last night and we met up with all the others from previous tours. For some reason me and Beth decided we didnt like the beer and it was good idea to switch to wine at midnight. Suddenly from refusing to dance we decided we would rule the dance floor. My head hurts.....

So i hear its still cold in England. he he. Off to the rainforest now....

Great to hear what your all up to on your seperate emails.

Love V.
