Hey all!

So Amit and I are at the end of day 4 on our trip and what an adventure it has been thus far! We spent Saturday/Sunday and part of Monday (our time +5hrs) in London. The city was as packed as ever, as it was a long weekend for Londoners. Thanks to both our prior visits to London, Amit and I were able to move around the city on the tube without looking like tourists.

Weather is quite cold. We've seen a ton of Canadians in London (more than Americans/Aussies/Kiwis...). All we can talk about is how we left warm weather in Ontario (27 I believe) for 12. Luckily I brought a total of 1 pair of jeans and 1 pair of sweats and 1 sweatshirt. For the last two days in London, I swear I was the only one wearing shorts. One guy called me a viking, but I corrected him and said "Canadian"...and we agreed it was pretty much the same thing (when it comes to weather tolerance).

Though the weather has been quite cold, the views remained awesome. When we arrived in London, Amit and I ventured to the 'hot spot' Trafalgar square. As mentioned before, it was a long weekend...their version of labour day. It is quite different than ours, however. Trafalgar square was filled with anti-government protesters/communist supporters pleading for people to fight the government and stop injustice. There was another bus that was playing tons of music and telling people to spoil there vote, saying it only encourages the government. Quite interesting.

Other than that, Amit and I stopped at the usual tourist spots: Big Ben, London Eye, Parliament, Westminters Abbey, St. Paul's Cathedral, Tower Bridge, London Bridge, British National Museum, National Portrait Gallery, Buckingham Palace, Hyde Park, Leiscter Square....and even went to the London Comedy Club. We spent a good chunk of our last night venturing to these spots to get night pictures, quite an amazing view.

Fun fact: 4 Carlsberg bottles = £2.50...who said London was expensive??

We are currently in Paris and will be there until noon-ish on Thursday. Plans have already changed, and we'll be in San Sebastian one day longer, as there was no room on the trains on Friday.

Unfortunately, there is no USB slot at the computer here in the hostel, so I can't post any pictures quite yet. When we get into Spain, I should be able to update you on Paris.

I hope all is well in Canada.

Would love updates!

Cheers,

Jason

Being Canadian
Hey! We were speaking with another Canadian the other day, and the 3 of us (Paul included) agreed that everyone else worldwide seems to think we are able to withstand the worst and coldest weather. I think together, we should work to re-educate the world, letting them know that we just dress warm, and are not freakishly immune to the cold! Looking forward to a reunion in August! Tell Amit i say hi!
