Another fine warm sunny day greeted us and we got ourselves ready for the off. The internet connection was no good so sorry if we missed the myriad of skype calls.
Today was a stroll up the east coast and without doubt the highlight was the seal colony we stopped next to. It was wonderful to see the seals lounging round and enjoying the sunshine. The pups were practicing their swimming in nursery pools and were teeming over each other like carp in an ornamental pool.
The older ones were happy fro a bit of peace and quiet. The fishy smell was the only drawback but did not detract from the brilliant sights of seeing wild animals in their own habitat. We made a cup of tea and a spot of breakfast and loved the sights and sounds around. Certainly better than working. Eventually we got to Marlborough country the top NZ wine growing area. Wendy took a couple of photos of the vineyards for those not convinced.
Blenheim itself is the biggest place we have been to since we arrived in NX. We went for a walk round the shops and Wendy even went
into a small department store to satisfy the needs any shopaholic needs now and again.
We had a cup of tea (English breakfast flavour) and watched the worlds go by. We then went to the local supermarket for some essential supplies (local wine) and were amused by the sign for the trolley park. They call them trundlers over here so we had to grab a picture.
We also saw a sign for Brand new recycled furniture which defied logic.
There was a steam train due through which only happened once every 2 years. We had a small gin and tonic and waited fro its arrival camera at the ready. As it arrived the battery died and so no pictures unfortunately.
Evening meal was prawns in a white wine sauce with fresh herbs on pasta. Very tasty.

Himum/dad just round nans, had a nice meal with everyone, was very tasty but not hte same without you! glad your havin a good time, were off out for fozzys bday now :) spk to you soon Tom x
