Kettering
Bruny Island ferry leaves from Kettering Bruny Island is made up of a North and South Island, separated by a narrow isthmus called "The Neck". Departing from Kettering, the only access to the island is by vehicular ferry. The trip takes 15 minutes and arrives at Roberts Point on North Bruny. The population of Bruny Island is approx. 620 and is deceptively large - being about 100 kilometres in length.
"The Neck is home to the Truganini Lookout - a timber stepped boardwalk that takes you to some of the most spectacular 360° panoramic views of the Bruny Island coastline.
Bruny Island offers some of Tasmania's finest quality produce including fudge, cheese (Bruny Island Cheese Company) , wine (Bruny Island Premium Wines) and oysters (Get Shucked Oysters). The island is home to Australia's southern-most pub, southern-most winery and some of Tasmania's finest produce. There are also a number of unique cafés scattered across the island.
