Full Moon.......magical
Hi Friends and Family

We are now on the Great Ocean Rd staying at Princetown, part of the Port Campbell National park. It is a magical place and what can I say fantastic for the mind, body and soul. I dare say we will spend a few days here and then head to Otway National Park (still located along the Great Ocean Rd). We have spent time in the Grampians Nat Park (Gariwerd is the Aboriginal name) and did some kick ass walks, longest one taking 4.5 hrs with a 400mtre ascent. Man our calves were not in the best shape for the next few days. Q Man was walking around like an old man for a few days and I must say I was too (not an old man an old woman)! It was all worth it. The aboriginal tour was fantastic and we learnt many things about their culture, what a spiritual place. We finished off the tour with wattle seed tea and wattle seed damper. I was in my element of course. Major Mitchell cockatoos, kangaroos and other birdlife also came to visit us near our van.
After Gariwerd we headed back to Donald and Birchip where

Another Pub in another country town. On the way to the Grampians.
my Great Grandfather was the original selector of land from this area (he was a wheat & sheep farmer). I have had a real history lesson here and caught up with family I have never known. My grandfather left here in the early 1900's and worked in Kalgoorlie, then joined the army (he was a light-horseman in WW1). This has been a highlight so far to see the original farm built in 1884. I cant believe it is still standing! Many towns in the region have Historical Societys and they certainly do a fab job capturing and indexing the history from the past.

Anyway will check out the coastline tomorrow whatever day and date it is (I'm not joking, I wake up wondering what day and date it is....:-)
