Left bay of islands and headed back to see AC again, had a great night out in the city!! Left at 7am the next morning, to mercury bay, stopped off at cathedral cove- which actually didnt think was that beautiful.. i have been spoiled by the amazing beaches in portugal! stayed there for one night but not a lot happening so moved on again.. heading south to Rotorua. I was very excited about the smell of the town.. and i was not disappointed.. it STUNK! of egg hahaha but you would get used to it.. the hostel was another BASE. but it had a swimming pool which was good as it was hot!. heading out with some friends and went 'lurging' cross between tobogganing and actual lurging.. was great fun and cheap day out.. had to take a gondola to the top of a mountain which gave great views of the lake and then drove down the hill- it was verrrry dodgy especially when racing! and of course we took the 'advanced' track and yes i mounted the curb trying to take a corner too fast.. great.
