Mills 1-0 Face Face

What the title means is exactly that. Face Face sucessfully got Delhi Belly before me!! I won't brag too much on here as It's not nice and she's been unwell so lets hope it clears and we have a smiley Face Face 😊 I don't want to jinx it, but maybe consuming pints of 'Habanero Tabasco' and 'Dave's Insanity Sauce' over the last few years are paying off???

I'm in Delhi actually, funny that eh! Just had an overnight train from Varanasi where they cremate bodies and drop dead babies and stuff in the River Ganges. This is supposed to be the holiest place in the world for Hindus and some Muslims. What better thing to do than bathe and wash all your clothes in this MINGING river!! The locals all use this to their advantage to try and get your money, but as I'm starting to realise, things over here don't really make much sense.

Before Varanasi we visited the Taj Mahahaj which was amazing! Pictures don't really justify it, those who have been will be able to vouch for that I'm sure.

Other highlights include:

-Getting better at bartering, Face Face and I are bringing a few bits and bobs back to make a few pennies during our unemployed summer (WORLD CUP for me)
-Saw 1st man shitting on the road (100yds from entrance to Taj Mahal - Nice)
-Found some toilet roll, It's called 'Royal Deluxe'.
-The men here all think it's cool to look like they've fallen out of a 'Saturday Night Fever' catalogue (We're talking flares, shiny shirts the lot)
-Face Face's meditation session (Ask for details)
-Dead body turning up to be cremated in the back of a Tuk Tuk (Imagine feet and shoulders out each side)
-We've stopped tipping as much as people are taking the piss literally. It goes: We eat - They ASK for tip - we give tip - They ASK for more - We say no - We leave on bad terms (Still giving a tip) Naughty Indians.
-Yesterday was cloudy and we had spots of rain in Varanasi (Snowing back home?)
-AMAZING breakfast for 250R (3 quid): 2 Bowls of Meusli/Fruit/Basket of breads/Plate of Cheese/2 cups of lemon and ginger tea/2 glasses of orange juice/Sausage, Bombay Potatoes + Scrambled egg on toast.

Forgot to mention our 2 nights In Varanasi were in the hotel office, they had no room so removed the desk and the camel assisted laptop and shoved a matress in there. 200R - 2.50 for us! Mosquitoes had a feast on us I guess being so close to the river.

Going to Rishikesh tomorrow I think, world capital of Yoga (Face Face - Can you imagine me?) and hopefully where I can get a singing bowl for my Mum.
