Thought we would be dying after all the flights, but we feel pretty good. From Auckland to Nelson the flight felt like an African "bush plane" - since it was a prop flight to the north end of the South Island. NZ is really layed back - Kauai with a better accent. Our B&B was beyond all expectations - Janice and Ray from England (lots of expats) made us feel at home and made us dinner reservations at the Boat Shed Restaurant.
We tried the "Trust the Chef" meal and could not have been more pleased with the drama and variety of mussels, fried bait fish, kiwi, snapper with artichokes, NZ Chardonnay and more. Tomorrow off for 3 days of Kayaking in Abel Tasman. R & G
