Mon depart

My bag is packed and I couldn't possibly have squeezed anything else in (but then that won't surprise most people - I'm not good at packing lightly just like my Dad!). I fully intend to leave clothes behind and use up items in my bag so that i can bring some souvenirs home.

I'm now eager to go and get stuck in to my project, providing support to the finance team of a local vocational college in Rwanda, for the next 6 weeks.

Having been more or less stranded at home because of the snow for the last week or so, stepping foot in not only another country but also another continent seems a million miles away! The jump in temperature will be very welcome - even if it will be raining when we arrive in Kigali! Who knows when all this snow is going to melt.
