Here we are back in the blissful Oasis that is Jadan Ashram. It’s really like we never left, lots of familiar faces and similar things going on. A few people back from a recent couple of months in Europe sharing stories and their energies are a bit different. I guess it takes a bit to readjust to Ashram energy. There are of course new people and new things to do. Programs are a little earlier now since its winter and we have a little less sunlight. The hostel boys are active in the afternoons with their hockey sticks, cutting up the desert and having a break from their books.

In the school our new project is to train up some of the college girls with our teaching methods. I also have a helper now, so I’m not the only foreigner in the school. We’ll train up the college girls in English as well as mentor them through teaching some classes in the lower primary in the coming months. Hopefully it means they can use the newfound knowledge to actively involve more of the children in using their English language, not just to pass exams with!

The boys are much more settled this time around and have enjoyed unpacking a few things we left behind. Aiden is so excited about the new books that we posted a few months ago that have arrived and are now added to the school library collection. It seems the hospital is about to open and Mark has work there as well as in the office, since Kumbh Mela is not too far around the corner and it means everyone will have an increased workload keeping up with more commitments. Surprisingly, I’m not feeling the urgency of any of this and enjoying the peacefulness of just being here!
