Tried to have a bit of a sleep before the Black Moon Party but couldn’t, lay in the room watching Dollhouse on the laptop and Gavin and Stacey. Then these noisy Australian blokes decided to sit on their balcony arguing which sounded as though they were sitting in my room. Decided to just get up anyway and go down to the bar. There was meant to be a warm up party but there wasn’t many there. A few people went off earlyish but Som had told me it didn’t get good until about 12. I sat chatting with Lee and then he suggested if i waited for him to close down the bar he’d give me a lift.

Got there for about midnight and it looked amazing. They have a kind of canopy area with loads of illuminous paintings. Loads of places selling glow in the dark tattoos and beads and stuff. I didn’t bother because I wasn’t going to get dragged into all that tourist stuff. I was going to just watch the proceedings and look cool. 2 buckets later I was bedecked in plastic beads and bracelets and sporting a ginormous glow in the dark Saltire on my arm. I should also mention that I ended up puking into one of my buckets and having to bury it in the sand. I vaguely remember throwing some shapes on the dance floor but to be honest the majority of the night was a blur. I don’t even know if I spoke to anyone or if i was just bowling about on my own.

At some point I decided to leave, it was still dark so who knows what time it was. Probably I’d only been there for about an hour. I walked up to the taxi’s and told them I was going to Coco Gardens. We waited for a few other people and made off. Everyone got off at Baan Tai and the taxi driver then refused to take me any further, but still wanted 100 bht. We had a furious argument and I just turned on my heel and walked away. Managed to get another cab who dropped me right to my bungalow.

Lee had kindly said to me not to worry about check out time the next morning which was good as I hadn’t even packed, but I woke up pretty early anyway and sorted all my stuff out. I walked down to the restaurant and had a Singha. Hair of the dog and all that. Alex brought the car down and we took off, me following him on my bike. Alex goes different way that i’m not sure of, so I was following him quite closely. This taxi cut me up and got between us. Whilst I was trying to keep an eye on the jeep the taxi suddenly pulled up in front of me. I slammed my brakes on and stopped in time before i plowed into the back of him. But, stupidly put my foot down and almost ripped the top off my big toe. My flip flop came apart as well so I was trying to sort that out whilst not fainting at the sight of my toe practically hanging off. Alex had realised he’d lost me and stopped round the corner so we headed off and got to the hotel at the same time as Lin. Lin and Alex went into full on Mother/Father mode when they saw my foot and we dropped my bags and Alex took me back to the coffee shop in the car. By the time we got there,Lin had already got the iodine and bandages and stuff out and she did a clean up operation on my mangled toe.

Went back to my room for a sleep in the afternoon and then went out again in the evening. Went down to Coco’s and met Gerard in there. A guy was leaving today and they were having a few drinks at Jumanji back in town. I got back and parked up the bike then decided that I was too tired, so changed my mind and went home. When I got back to my room I realised I had a fridge, so rushed back out to 7 Eleven to buy things to put in it. Ie Singha and chocolate milk.

Lay in my bed, which by the way is so comfortable it’s like your being eaten by a gigantic marshmallow, watched Prince Caspian (shit) and then went to sleep
