Highlight(s)

• Mick got a coat - hurrah!!!!
  
• Walk along the river with the promise of crepes keeping us moving.
  
• Celebrated Mum's birthday with a few glasses of champagne - Happy Birthday Mum!!!

Odd Spot(s)

• We were totally surprised by the volume of people boarding trains at around 7.30pm on Sat night. So many must come in to town to go shopping and head home just after the shops close. It was a real squeeze - but everyone was very polite and there was no real shoving or agro.
  
• The lift at the apartment building sounds like the trombone section of an orchestra tuning up - unsuccessfully. Not cool at 3am.

Abbey of Saint Germain de Pres
The Abbey was founded in the 6th century and looks even more beautiful adorned with Christmas lights.

River Seine
Took the new coat out for a test with a walk along the river edge.

Notre Dame
The addition of a Christmas Tree to the forecourt of Notre Dame made for an impressive sight.

Getting amongst the locals...
Immersing ourselves in the local district and the French festivities of the lead up to Christmas.

Breakfast at Les Deux Magots
With a reputation as the rendezvous of the literary and intellectual elite of the city in years past, we thought we would spend some time and seek inspiration. Maybe a great novel will come one day.
