Oasis has a vacancy - they have 5 bungalows which they let out. The English guy says it's quiet enough but nowhere near as good as getting up into the Cardamom mountains. Dave has already warned me about the mountains though. In the mid Cardamoms the police have recently found several crystal meth labs indicating drugs gangs operating in the area and further north towards the Blue mountains around Pylea the area ha only been stable for about 5 years - this was the last stronghold of the Khmer Rouge amd the plave where Pol Pot finally died. It's not been developed for tourism yet and Dave advises me against going there.
Anyway, today I'm going to mooch around town and I may even have a beer or two as a treat. I know this is difficult for anyone who knows me to beleive but I've drunk exactly 6 bottles of lager and 4 pints of draught lager over the trip so far - 6 weeks. About a pint a week.
I also think that I'm losing much more weight now and it's showing in the mirror. I'll have to weigh myself when I get back to Dave and Stephanies place on Thursday.

what Nigel?? one beer a week??? you feeling okay??? I do have the odd dry spell when travelling but not as extreme as that!! think i went 21 days in india without a beer but that was because I'd been there for 8 months and was sick of the taste of kings and kingfisher!! hope you enjoyed the return to the bar!!!
