Bangkok here we come. We were really excited as we boarded the plane and hoped for a smooth flight but what we got was far from smooth. It was the worst flight that I have ever been on for turbulence. Craig was pooping himself the whole way and I was even a little scared. The plane was dropping constantly so when we landed we almost kissed the floor but we didn’t because it wasn’t too clean. We stayed in Bangkok for a week and eagerly waited for Lyndsey n Helen to get here. In the meantime we submitted our Vietnam visa and it was approved and visited the palace. The palace was nothing special but cost us a small fortune to get in. I was wearing a strappy top so I wasn’t allowed in until I had borrowed a lovely purple shirt that had probably been worn by a hundred people that day. We stayed near Khaosan road and experienced for the first time the cheap vodka buckets of Thailand. On this street is where both me and Craig got tattoos. Craig chose a mauri design and I picked out a small flower design. Craig spent a little over 3hours getting
his done where as mine took 25 minutes. We both experienced some pain but powered on through.
On the night of the 4th we headed with our Mayne/Doc sign to the airport. We waited at the arrival gate watching everyone who came through, and then we saw them. Woop Woop the party began. We stayed on Silom road in a hostel while the girls stayed in a nice hotel and we headed out to Patpong. We wandered through the market and were being asked constantly to go see some ping pong shows; although curious we passed on that opportunity but not before we took a pic outside “Super Pussy”. The next day we went shopping and passed the time before we boarded the night train to Samui.
The overnight train was fab, we got on at 7pm and arrived near the ferry at 8am. Our cabins were booked at opposite ends of the cart but we managed to swap with someone and share with Lyndsey and Helen. We took a 2 hours bus ride to the ferry and caught a few more zzzzzz’s so we could enjoy the ferry ride over to Koh Samui Island. The first day on
Samui was a little overcast but extremely warm. We checked into the hotel and walked up all 120 steps to our room with our backpacks on, i nearly didn’t make it. Me and Craig hired a sooter and of course Craig drove and i sat on the back. We spent the afternoon chilling by Ban Talay pool with the girls. The night rolled round and we headed to a popular nightspot. There was one main street that had Thai girls wearing the tiniest of clothes tryting to get you into their bar. So we picked a bar where we could sit outside and poeple watch. One of Lyndseys favourire activities was lady boy spotting and sometimes it was easy but sometimes you could never tell. After a few buckets we headed to what was the club. Their were two main areas, one was rnb and the other trance/dance music. We decided to head straight for the dance music and Craig immediatly got on the stage and started dancing. We had a great time watching craig make love to the speakers and we all danced the night away till the early hours.
The next day we all set out on
scooters, i was with Craig and Helen was on the Back with Lyn. We headed out to a waterfall and explore the island. That night was the same as the last, with drinks and dancing on the cards. We stopped by the Crash bar for a few games of pool, which Craig always won. The next few days were sunny and we tanned ourselves on the beach and by the pool. Craig got a massage with the girls on the beach with the sound of the waves crashing and we met some cool guys from Canada, Josh and Doug. We headed out with them on our last night in Samui and ended up in an Indian restaurant where we had a nice meal but not as good as the royal. Again we took them to the club and got our groove on. To sum up Koh Samui = Friends, Sun, Beach, Nightlife, Great food, It was amazing few days.
Phucket- Patong Beach: We arrived at night so we headed straight to our hotels and were so tired from Samui that we had a quiet one to reecover. The next day we headed to the beach. The beach here was not
3 hours of pain
and thats just shaving his hairy leg very nice but we sunbathed for a few hours, then headed to Lyn n Helens hotel pool for some swimming fun. We splashed around the pool and took some random photos with our underwater camera. Like many places in thailand Patong had a street full of bars and clubs. One night we were walking down the steet when we were stopped by some men in Drag/ladyboys/ i dont know what. We got some photos with them and they loved it, only because they demanded money for it. The most amazing day was had when we went on a trip to phi phi island. We stopped off at some amazing islands on the way. The first stop is where we went snorkling with a million fish surrounding us. We were given bread to feed the fish and they went wild for it. The next stop was off at the place where they shot the beach. We got off the boat and snorkled to a small beach and took some photos of the beach from the film the beach. The next stop was monkey island. We swam into the beach and fed water melon to the monkeys. I bent down to take
a picture and a monkey jumped onto my back, i nearly died, but as i panicked the monkey jumper off and the guys thought that was rather funny. We then headed to Phi phi, this place is the most beautiful i have ever been. The sun was shining, the water was warm and the bay was so chilled. The only downside was we had so little time their. On the way back we relaxed on the front of the boat and watched the the world go by.
On our last night in Phuket we met a bunch of Australian rugby players, they were crazy but very entertaining. We headed to our favourite eatery which we named "Wals" cos we cnt remeber its real name, then off to seduction our chosen clup for the night. Again we were all in good spirits and had lots to drink and did lots of dancing. I was feeling rather nervous as the next day was when we had to say our goodbyes to Lynsey and Helen. Aboo!!! I was right to be nervous as when we flew into Bangkok and had to go our seperate ways i was gutted. We had had such
a great time together and i couldnt believe it had passed so quickly. There were tears for a while from me but craig did a great job of tryting to cheer me up. Thanks guys for such an amazing few weeks!!!!
