The only rule in China is that there are no rules.

Red light? Whatever that means. Let's keep driving! Hit someone? are they alive? good, keep going. Do I have the right of way? No. Go ahead anyways. I'm a bus and just hit a moped. The person is dis-oriented, and their moped is a little dinged up. Can they walk away? Ya, so get out of my way so I can keep going!

Let's talk on the phone while driving. Let's text and not look at the road while in motion!

I'm riding my bike down the street, and there is another on-coming bike. It would make sense given that everyone drives on the right side that each bike would move to the right, and hence replicate the car driver's way. No. So do we each go right? no, they go left, right... no left! CRASH. Shrug. Keep going.

Riding down the street on my bike on a wide sidewalk, and a car shoots out of the side street with no warning. I slam my breaks and hit the car, and am propelled off my bike seat. Does the driver ask if I'm okay, get out of the car, maybe even just back up so I can continue? F*^K no! I clamber back on my bike, and walk it backwards. The car drives on, and I am left befuddled.

It is a new concept to even have a car, so the fact is, people are not good drivers. Good thing I don't have my gun here, because yes, I would shoot many drivers. Complete lack of courtesy for other cars, pedestrians, cyclists, scooters, or anything else that is moving.

*Sigh*
I'm not in Boulder anymore.

Walking in the streets is like playing PAC-MAN!!!

Soon, I'm off to Thailand where it is even worse.

Pray for me!!!

SO funny
You have to know it to truly believe it! It's so different as to almost be unreal. Your descriptions is so funny and accurate, though. The best. M
