Pete and I
He was a "Lone Rancher" and I wore a simple masquerade mask. We survived our first Halloween in China. It sure did feel different since China doesn't really celebrate China at all. Here are a few pictures from our night out at NYPD a pizza joint in Futian, central part of Shenzhen. NYPD is owned by Thompson, Chinese-American, who is from San Fran, CA. Pete was very excited to speak to him about owning a business in China. Thompson said this year the rules changed and a foreigner can own a business in Shenzhen and gets tax breaks. Before this year you had to have a Chinese National be part owner, which seemed risky.
We missed Staci and Martin for they were on a free trip to Hangzhou with their school. Also, Jimmy and Cali were in Hong Kong for the weekend with Mary, Jimmy's sister, who is visiting from Boston.
