Well, after a twelve and a half hour train ride in the most disgusting (im not complaining!) train I have ever ridden in, we finally made it just to take another 2 and a half hour boat ride to beautiful Ko Samui (paradise). The bungalow we swiped is awesome and for 800 baht a night (roughly 12 bucks a person), its a steal of a deal.
Afetr settling in to our comfy little place we decided to go for a swim in the turqois waters of Ko Samui......and guess what, I didnt burn!!! Well, I did slap on the spf 45, but still, has anyone actually heard of me not burning? And we were out there in 35 degree weather for rbout 2 hours!!!!! Unbelieveable!
After our swim, we had worked up quite an appetite, so we all endulged in some spicy tai curried food!!!! I LOVE CURRY!!!!!! Mine was a creamy yellow coconutcurry with rice, chicken and veggies, Jasons was actaully presented in a whole half of a coconut!! And to top of our $4 meals, we had fresh squeezed orange, watermelon, and pinapple slurpies, for about $1 CAD!!!!!! I love the pricings here!
Tomrrow were heading to the more touristy parts of Ko samui, and closer to the 14th of March, were heading to Ko Pha Ngan for the full moon partai!!!!!Im sooooo excited!
Well, Emily and I are just about to grab a magnum (chocolate and almond ice cream bar for those who have never heard of them), so Ill let that be all for today. Hope all is well at home!

Hi Marie, I've never met you but it sounds like you're a great friend to Emily. The train ride is an experience in itself, right! Believe it or not some of those Thai gals prefer the squat holes! I guess the fact that you didn't burn may be that the smog keeps away some of the rays. Keep slathering on the sunscreen tho. and see that Emily does too!
