The Imposing Twin Towers! The Imposing Twin Towers! The Imposing Twin Towers!

i felt pretty small!

Hello all!

Well our fist day was pretty hectic! After a long flight, (and not succesfully joing the mile high club!!) we arrived in KL airport at 3.30am, caught the KLIA express train to the city (28mins) to dicsover the heavens had opened up and it was pouring cats and dogs! We were in our room by 6.00am, which we think is actually pretty good time! After a quick nanna nap and breaky we ventured out into the unknown! low and behold by the time we got outside we needed another change of clothes! We never imagined two people could sweat so much!!
The place we stayed was pretty good, basic but clean and had a really cute rooftop garden, where we took the photo of our new little friends (you will be seeing alot of them!) and we had our own room.

The city is pretty amazing, a little on the stanky side, lots of those sweet sweat and rotting rubbish smells every so often wafting past, and the humidity is just insane, but a really laid back and relaxing place to just wander and take in the sights! The taxi drivers are pretty funny, they beep at any

tourist walking near the road, even if they are on the otherside road going in the other direction!

We went to the patronas twin towers, the tallest TWIN towers in the word, very impressive, although by the end of the day I (ali) was feeling a little vertigo from looking up at all the buildings and all the shiny things!

Then for dinner we decided to head to chinatown, which is a little more hectic and full on than any other chinatown in oz! And we had our first beer in Asia! Ali loves Tiger Beer! (I dont even get a hangover from the stuff! It rocks!)

The next day we spent trapsing around the city, had to check on our vietnam visas! That was a really sweaty day!!
That night we had the best indian we have EVER eaten in our lives! (Mum you would just have died! It was amazing!)

We also went to a really touristy bar called the Rum Jungle, which had really impressive decor and lighting, however the beers cost us RM 33.70 ( basically $15 a beer!) needless to say we only stayed for one! Spent the rest of the

night in a little bar just under our hostel and met a scotsman and a norweigen, who we chatted with for ages! Travelling chat is so interesting!

After an early morning, packed our bags, headed for the airport and caught a flight to Sabah, Borneo.

The place we are staying in at the moment is ok. Like most places, it is clean and the bed here is really comfy!
This is our 3rd day in Sabah, but yesterday took the cake!! We met a couple here, also from oz and turns out one of them played waterpolo with me in u14s and is friends with shelly ingram (one of my good friends) it really is a small world!
Anyway, we all went white water rafting on the river padas, this huge clay coloured river, grade 4 rapids. This river cuts through this amazing ancient jungle, really, just undiscribable!

We had a ball!! Even got to jump out and body raft through some of the rapids! We caught this really rickety train that felt like it was going to jump off the rails at any time, it was so so fun!

Today we are just hanging out

So, goodbye for now, and we will catch ya on the Flip Side!
