END OF THE ROAD

Now that everyone has arrived home, no need for me to keep this blog.

Some last thoughts: I enjoyed this adventure with "the gang." So to each of them:

Mariah -- thank you for your grit, determination and patience. I know it was hardest for you ... "turkish" toilets, stairs, no handicapped toilets, squished into a van, many hours of traveling without a hot meal, crazy NDNs who managed to catapult you out of your wheelchair, bathing challenges, and so much more. You are a role model for not giving in to the rotten things that happen to us in our lives. I'd sign up for another trip with you in a minute! I was glad to be of some help, as I know Lee was too.

Wilson -- thank you for your laughter, or more correctly, for making us all laugh. You and Johnny were a great comedy team! I think you experienced things that will mold you for the rest of your life. You did a good job, and your Auntie is very proud of you.

Johnny -- OMG was I ever wrong about you. Here I thought you were going to be the quiet one. NOT! Such a quick wit that kept us in stiches all the time. Thank you for multi-tasking ... singing and drumming, playing the guitar and singing; you were a huge asset!!! As well as great laughter medicine.

David -- Thanks so much for looking after me when Lee wasn't around, especially in Athens. You are the great one for the one-liners. And thanks for thinking about all the people we stayed with and leaving them beautiful beadwork that I am sure they will cherish for the rest of their lives.

And last, but certainly not least, my dear husband, Lee -- You were awesome! Thanks for everything you did (and didn't do) to make this trip as good as it could be. You are, and always will be, O GREAT ONE!!!
