When I want local interaction ,I have more than I bargained for. The old lady live rights below me on the 8th floor ( I live in the ninth) come to talk to me. I cannot speak too well but I can understand her. She complained I get up early and walking heavy footed. She asked if I could walk more general in the morning. Actually I am the lightest footed person in my house back home.

Last night when I was taking the shower there was a heavy pounding outside the apartment. I thought it must be some body friend or husband wanted to get in their apartment. However, it never stop and get louder. I got dressed and take a look is someone at my door. It is the same lady again downstairs with her daughter or daughter in law.

They said the water leaks down to their floor from my shower. I have been here more than a week, why happen now. It is from the Mickey Mouse construction of no shower pan and no water proof member. Contacted the owner and go home early to wait for him. By the time he showed up the repair shop already closed.Need to come back early tomorrow to wait again. At the mean time, I need to figure out how to wash myself in the kitchen sink.

tony,
why don't you use the lavatory rather than the kitchen sink to wash yourself? is the lav drain line connect to the shower line? i think the cruise ship combination bathroom is larger than your apartment bathroom, haha.

Tony, it nice to live away from home. You could dry clean, go to the bath house down the street or get a bucket wash youself like the old days.

I think all drains connect to the same main, no P trap, just a plastic flex. It is normal in China, and plug in a hole in the ground. I think the leaks is the floor not the drain. I kind of wait and see how they going to fix it the Chinese way. We will fix it differently.

No Shower Tonight
Actually I can fix it my self if back home. The problem is the floor drain is no sealant around it. they just has a hole in the floor and put the drain in. Owner call contractor in, the guy need to get some laborer to do it. I do not think there is any Home Depot here. May be I become a contractor here too after I manage the language.
