Ok, we know that some of you think we're still in Dubrovnik celebrating Maja & Steve's wedding...it's for you that we're finishing our blog. We'll be honest and tell you the final blogs were all written last summer, we just never uploaded all the photos and hit the 'publish' button. We're very sorry. New life in Canada got in the way. For almost a year. No excuse, however, and we understand if out of protest you refuse to read the rest of the blogs. Admittedly, part of us still wishes we were stuck in Dubrovnik with everyone.

Anywhoo, let's pretend it's last August...

We packed up Saturday night and left bright and early on Sunday morning for the Dubrovnik bus station. A rushed breakkie across the street and on the bus we were with Sonia and Kevin for the next 3.5 hours through to Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Gravol supply was significantly diminished after this trip.

We wandered around Mostar in slight mist. We did not complain as Dubrovnik had been so hot. Mostar is a smaller city and it was easy to walk around once we had dropped off our bags at the bus station. We visited the main Mosque which was quite small but beautiful. We climbed to the top and had some beautiful views of the town.

We found a nice place for lunch that had views of the Old Bridge over the Neretva River and we had to change tables 3 times in order to get out of the rain. We had some cevapi (pronounced che-va-pi, and not the last time you'll hear of this), which are small meat sausages typical of the region. I had been looking forward to it for 8 years and was not disappointed.

We took some photos on the Old Bridge (rebuilt after it was destroyed in the war), walked back to the bus station and continued on our journey to Sarajevo.
