Edinburgh…..A city of old buildings that date back to the twelfth century, a city that stretches for countless miles. Edinburgh is full of castles, palaces and old churches man of which we visited within our week here. The days were mostly sunny which enabled us to wander through the city for hours at a time. We were extremely lucky to have entered the city during the infamous Fringe Festival and the streets were awash with crazy people and theatrical performances (many of which were free and equally as disturbing). We managed to squeeze in the Lady boys of Bangkok show as well as some more underground performances.
We were spoilt rotten by our relatives Sian and Tom, and spent many nights Scottish Dancing and getting sloshed. The Scottish Dancing proved no easy feat with Dale (amidst all his drunken stupor) making an impromptu cameo, bouncing of Jen Jen onto his arse and subsequently sliding the length on the dance floor into the stage. Not to be out done, 2 old bags 65++ entered with their escorts, busting out the ‘Boob Bongos’ and the ‘No-knickers Starfish’. Their were Air-headjobs for both escorts followed by tiger crawling across the floor, as drunk

After the last called drinksas we were, we clearly weren’t drunk enough for this shit.
We were lucky enough to see the Military Tattoo which was absolutely amazing and set with the Edinburgh Castle as it’s backdrop. We even managed to sneak in some family history tours: visiting Di-sys old places of residence as well as Gdaddy and Gran’s childhood homes. Jen found her new favourite shop in “Tesco’s”, and relished the opportunity to go window shopping in Princes Street. All in all we had an amazing 7 days here and would not hesitate in coming back. Missing our relatives in Scotland!!
