From Hong Kong to Edinburgh

The entire Thursday was spent lounging on the plane. Andy managed to polish off 6 movies. Jen on the other hand slept for 7 hours after a cocktail of valium and serepax to help ease her nerves. The flight was total of 12 hours strenuously long hours for all, however Jen thought time flew only being awake for 4 of the hours and watching two films. The flight was extremely turbulent throughout and customer service was at a bleak minimum. After several diversions and loops around Heathrow the flight deck were given permission to land. The Jumbo came down far to fast as we ‘CRACKED’ down onto the runway and speed wobbled all the way to our offset point… all passengers were unimpressed. A quick 20 minute bus ride between terminals and a surprisingly smooth transition through customs it was onto Edinburgh with British Airways. No sooner were we up it was time to land… again… Jen scoffing down 2 salmon salads it was evident the munchies had kicked in. After a much smoother landing it was good to see a familiar face… uncle tommy, who had the baggage kart ready and elbows out. Somehow we all squeezed in to the car and it was a short drive to South Queensferry for a yummy dinner and catch up time with Sian and Tom. Not long after we all hit the sack, jet lag kicking in +++.
