Of course the original plan is gone. Now we are doing the Canadian Rockies. The pictures were to good to be true.
The weather will be a blessing for us. We have had almost 2 months straight of 100+ days. HOT.
Going to 35 low and 75 high will be great. Just hope the van will be warm enough for us.

pacific NW "THE TRIP day 1"
WOW.... we arrived. Of course getting here was less than half the fun. San Antonio Texas to Seattle. Long flight. Can you believe the weather??? We arrived and it was about 72 F. LOVE THE WEATHER. Went straight to rental car, and got the mini-van. Headed straight to the water in downtown Seattle, appetizer and a beer. We had high hopes for the local beers. wasn't disapointed. DAY ONE ended with a beer and a sunset in Seattle and a drive north on I-5 towards the Canadian border. Stopped and bought an air mattress and crashed at a rest stop on the interstate. It does seem the whole day has been rushed, so how do we slow down?? Very excited about day 2, what was the border going to be like?? We live in south Texas, and the border is usually an event.
