We received a special request from Dr. Bob to see more trees and forests and so yesterday we took a drive up to the Rakaia Gorge for a walk along the river. It was the first proper winter shorts and t-shirts day...

We started this travel blog in 2005 when we set off on a ten-month around-the-world trip with a couple of backpacks and not much else. In 2008, we emigrated to New Zealand with four suitcases and a guitar and spent the first month travelling throughout the country, from Auckland to Christchurch, via a roundabout route.
