So we drove the 4 hours from Gothenburg to Oslo. Daddy had a good friend in Oslo named Berit. He met her many years ago in Utila, Honduras, and many years after that she visited him in Washington DC and they also travelled in South Africa together. They had not seen each other in over 7 years. Berit and her boyfriend, Stein were very nice and have 2 kids, Helena who is1 and Nikolas who is 5. I had a lot of fun playing with Nikolas even though we did not speak the same language. We played with light sabers, trains, and ran around laughing.

We went to Vigaland which was this really cool park with interesting statues. The most famous one was one of a crying baby. Lots of Bundas in this park.

We then went to a museum with old viking ships. At first I thought it was interesting but then.......I dont know what happened ( I think I will blame it on jet lag) I had the most major temper tantrum. Daddy says I get one a trip and it is usually horrific. I kept crying and telling dad to take my picture with me smiling.

When he took the picture I would say "but I am not smiling" and this continued for a long time until he took me outside, then on a walk, then I finally fell asleep. Good thing for daddy, this was the only major tantrum for the entire month.

That night after a great dinner and playing with Nikolas, Berit read me a story about the Barba family. I (and daddy) have never seen these cartoon characters, but I really liked the story and later in the trip I had daddy buy me a barbamama doll and and barbafamily piggy bank.

We had a great stay with daddy's friend and I hope they come to Miami. But it was time to move on to the next place...camping in Flam

Vigeland Park
Is that not an amazing park? and to imagine that Vigeland was 15 when he had the vision for a public park with statues telling the story of life. I stayed there for 1/2 day just enjoying the statues and watching people go to and fro.

Barbapapa
Ooooh I so love Barbapapa, grew up in Italy with the books. They have all been reprinted in the last few years and I even found the DVD of the original 1973 film, it's very hippyesque, ask daddy to find it, you'll love it! Were you 4 here? My daughter had some terrible tantrums at the age of 4!!! She's much more chilled now.
