Yesterday (the 16th) I left Schiphol at 10:00 Amsterdam time. One and a half hour later, I met Iwona on Heathrow. Together we ate and talked about everything and nothing, just like the old days!!! What better way is there to pass time on an airport than when you're passing time with a friend!

The second flight to Doha took about seven hours and at arrival we were brought to the terminal by bus. When leaving the plane - this was at midnight local time - I was very surprised about the temperature. It was 33 degrees Celsius still! I guess Qatar will not be my next destination in the summer, because I cannot imagine how it feels when the sun shines...

The third flight took more than eight hours and I was lucky to be able to get some sleep, although not much. I was really glad after having seen three Danish movies that I was finished traveling by plane (at least for the coming weeks). This time I had to walk to the arrival hall instead of taking the total automatic train without a driver. Too bad... However, the weather is beautiful; 34 degrees and no clouds or smog!

This time I chose to take a bus to the city instead of the super train I took last time. I was really glad I did it, because the bus stop was almost in front of the hostel, I saw a different piece of Hong Kong, and it was almost a third of the price for the train. The hostel itself is also fine. Perfectly located, and clear toilets. Of course, everything is really small, but it is clean (as far as I can see), they provide free drinking water and free Wifi (which I do not use because it is an unsecured network without a good certificate). I know paid for 5 days of Wifi throughout Hong Kong.

At the moment it is 19:00; I will find something to eat and I will most probably go to bed very early to sleep off the flight...
