Same Same
Us cooking at the Same Same cooking school It's been a while since I have had a chance to write... the past week has flown by.
We went on the Reggae boat trip which was a laugh but not very 'reggae' at all. I was looking forward to some good Jamaican food- but was disappointed! When I queried where the 'reggae' aspect of the trip was- like the food- he suggested that I come down the next day and cook something Jamaican. I thought he was joking at first but as we were about to leave- he told us to come back the next day at 11 and we would go to the market and buy what I needed to make some curry goat, rice and salad. So the next morning we were there bright and eary he took us to the market in ThongSala and be bought everything we needed apart from the lamb as he said he would get this. We we got back to the restaurant he had bought a bag of 'limes' instead of 'lamb'!! What he thought I was going to do with a whole bag of limes... I did a curry chicken in the end - which went down a storm we

Us cooking at the Same Same cooking school hardly got any! We made friends with everyone who works there- Peter Pan, Tuck, Piyeow, Daa, Sal, plus others.. We also got nick names my name is Lum Yai, and Kay is Chumpoo! So now when thai people ask us our name we say our thai ones! Every day we go and see our friends, and have been invited to have dinner there each evening for free! So you know that we will never be hungry in KPN!
One of the reasons I haven't written was that there was a freak storm here which lasted a few days and left us virtually stuck on the cliffside as no taxis come up where we are, we don't have a restaurant and several times I thought we were gonna starve! Its time like this when I really miss my car. just getting in whatever the weather and doing what I need to do. The storm ended in the afternoon on the 14th ( full moon party day) up until then we weren't sure if we were gonna make it, but as if it were some act of God the weather changed, the skies cleared and Haad Rin continued its preparation for

Bon Appetite the Full Moon/Valentines day party- very romantic, blah, blah ,blah- made me miss my Baby even more than I already do... So the Full moon party went off without a hitch, they even managed top pull a few new songs out of the bag ( they had been playing the same tunes for like all the nights we had been out). There was no trouble, the beach was packed and everyone had a great time, we witnessed a few people who had obviously had a little too much to drink and had passed out on the beach! Took some pictures I will upload..
I am now sitting in the Internet room at the Sanctuary Spa in Haad Tien in KPN. I was, up until 2 hours ago, preparing for my 4 day cleanse, which includes a colonic irrigation everyday, plus 31 tablets, also everyday. I have taken my first (ever) 2 yoga classes, which went surprisingly well, though the one this morning was much harder than the one yesterday, lets see how i feel tomorrow. So anyway I have been eating nothin but fruit and raw vegetables for the past 2 days in prepration for this fast-which wasn't as
bad as I thought it would be.
We arrived here on the 15th the morning after the Full Moon Party on about 2 hours sleep, it was full at the Sanctuary so we had to book a bungalow nearby- with the bathroom outside!!!! We came to check yesterday morning and this morning for somewhere but we just keep on missing the boat by about 2 seconds. Staying in our bungalow wouldn't be that bad if it wasn't for the giant Lizard ( 1 ft long) which reared its ugly head yesterday and made sure that we knew he was there throughout the night by making noise intermittantly throughout. we still aren't sure if it was actually in the bungalow or just outside- none of us were prepared to get out of bed to find out! We had hoped to be in the Sanctuary by now so we had only booked our bungalow for the 2 nights, this morning when we went to extend it we found out that it had already been booked and we had like 10 mins to vacate- can you believe it! So we went on the hunt for another room, with no luck unless we
want to hike over the mountain to Hadd Yuan, which is lovely but a seriously long walk esp since Yoga is at 8 am and evenin meditation is at 7pm- we decided against it. Plus, the mossies got to me yesterday and I now have lumps, the size of golf balls and one the size of a tennis ball ( no exaggeration) from the bites. I could't take my antihistamines as it would interfer with my cleanse- catch 22- either do the cleanse and suffer or take the tablets and miss out. I had chosen to go ahead with the cleanse and just deal with the bites but i guess it just wasn't meant to be, we have just eaten and are gonna go back to Haad Rin to arrange a transfer to Koh Tao tomorrow. I really did have good intentions but I guess this time it wasn't meant to be and I'm not pushing it- I'll be at the doctors tomorrow to get something for these bites!

Absolutely fabulous...
Sensational. I am pleased, excited and proud of you and your adventures. Sorry that the mosquitoes and other local species have taken such a shine to you. Anyway you both look really well and happy. Great pictures, great hair, skin colour and most of all, I like the tooth-less tiger. I am hoping that he/she had no teeth, at least not from the way you cuddled up to it. I look forward to more of your advetures. Keep safe. Much Love Denise
