Day 3

Well, we decided to deviate from our planned course...again. Originally we wanted to make it to Mazatlan today, but we slept in and would have never made it in time to watch Kobe and his pack do it again. So we're spending the night in Los Mochis which puts us about 5 1/2 hours behind schedule. But that's ok because Los Mochis has turned out to be a fun stop for us, and we'll just drive a little farther for the next few days. We made it into town just in time for the tip-off and found this great outdoor bar to watch the game. I had a plate of three delicious fish tacos with avocado and all the fixings for...$3.60USD. Unbelievable. This same plate would go for at least $12 in the states. We followed dinner up with too many Dos Equis for...$1 each. I apologize for the typos. Anyways, Justin wanted me to correct my blog from yesterday. Justin did almost all of the driving so far. But I did the equally important job of sitting in the passenger seat and keeping the weight balanced for a smooth ride. Los Mochis didn't have its own map in our travel book so we had trouble finding our Hotel/Hostel, when our waiter Francisco found this out, he offered to lead us there in his car after the game. Two points for Los Mochis! The hotel has everything we need and for a reasonable price. Two beds and a shower. Tomorrow I should be writing from the small town of Tepic... but we'll see what happens...

Hey Andrew, we're all pullin' for you. Thanks for the photos; they really help to visualize where you've been. So how soon will you be crossing the border into Guatemala?
