Hello All!

We are officially underway. We are at our midpoint to Madison, WI in Indianapolis. Since the camera is not quite charged yet (I knew we had forgotten something on our To Do List), there is no spiffy picture of a fully loaded large 16' Penske truck with the Fit on a car carrier behind it. We packed both apartments yesterday and spent the night in Spartanburg, SC. By the time we had finished packing it was exactly rush hour in Chas, so we decided to take the safe route and wait til about 7 to leave. So to pass the time we saw Up 3-D!

The drive has been pretty interesting so far. We had lunch in London, drove through Frankfort, past Versailles, and narrowly avoided temptation to stop at the Woodford Reserve and the Wild Turkey distilleries (if traffic had been lighter, we definitely would have). As an aside, driving this truck yesterday and today through some heavy rain has been one of the scariest / most challenging things I have done in a while. The adventure has truly started. Well, we are off to get some dinner and decompress! Next update from Madison, WI!

My vicarious window
Hello! I've decided that since I spend most of my time in my windowless office, I am vicariously traveling through the US via your blog! Seriously, there is a London, Frankfort, and Versailles between Spartanburg and Indianapolis? Who knew? You've got to get the camera going, otherwise I'm just seeing things in my head, as usual... Happy trails, Pam
