Let me tell you a little about myself. I am an American severely infected with the travel bug. Luckily, I also am a teacher so that gives me a way to travel and work. I am currently teaching at an public elementary school in a small town outside of Changhua City in Taiwan. I plan to travel as much as possible and I have no idea when I will return to the States! I am also a new bike owner exploring the joys of owning a bike. I am starting slowly, because I am horribly out of shape. Maybe in a little while I'll put up post of long rides along the coast -- but for now I keep them short. But in my town, a short ride is also beautiful. My friends took me on a ride through my small town -- around the rice fields. The town is especially known for its garlic and onions -- a fact sometimes very obvious! We went on back roads that meander through the town past temples and between old traditional houses and modern block buildings. It was a beautiful day and a great ride..
