Seal Rocks
The walk up to Sugarloaf Point Lighthouse Another lovely day for exploring the area.
Today we drove South along the Lakes Way. Firstly, we drove down to Seal Rocks. The road out is mostly tar now, which was easier on the car. We visited the lighthouse at Sugarloaf Point - wonderful views. We then drove into the National Park and visited 'Neranie - Little Lake". This area has a beautiful grassy campground which is right on the Lakes. The only thing that turned me off was the "please don't feed the dingoes" and "call the following number if there are any problems with wild dogs" !! Not keen on that!!
We drove on to the Sandbar. This camping ground was a fabulous spot years ago. We used to bring our tent and camp by the lakes and there was safe shallow swimming for the kids. We found it disappointing today. There was no water in the lake. The lady at the local shop told us that the fisherman had let the lake out last September and the water was now tidal and that the level had been very low ever since. What a shame.
We left the Sandbar and headed back along the Lakes Way and had lunch
at the Club on Wallis Lake. Beautiful spot. We then drove out to Elizabeth Beach, Boomerang Beach and Pacific Palms - very rough sea and windy today.
We called into Tiona, on our way back to the van. Very tired after our busy day.

What a long day travelling
But some of those places looked idyllic! I liked the look of Elizabeth Beach. Robyn
