As usual Andy was up early to go to work. I got rung up to work in North Sydney and booked up for Tuesday aswell. So I caught 2 trains to the North shore and found it easily. I was with pre-school again (2-5yrs)
That night dad gave us a call which was good.

We both went to work this morning, I only had one train to catch to Redfern. I was with pre-school again. They asked me to work for the rest of the week too.
When we got home we went with Megan to Marrickville to buy food as we were cooking for the family tonight. We cooked a lovely stirfry and fruit salad for afters. Andy and I then went for our usual after dinner walk.

We both went to work, I went back to Redfern, but got to go with the babies today! That was good, lots of nappy changing and mess.
That night Sue and Gwilym went out so we cooked for ourselves. Andy wanted a bit of junk food so made sausages and chips, I had pasta ready meal!
26.01.06 Australia Day (public Holiday)
We both had the day
Us on the cannons
These cannons were built for an invasion from the Russians, but by the time they built them they weren't needed and were never used. of work today as it is a public holiday. It celebrates when captain cook came to Australia, the Aboriginals call in invasion day.
They was lots of things going on in and around Sydney. We all decided to go to Wollongong on the train. The train trip was about an hour and a half. We got there, had a walk around the harbour and had fish and chips. Andy had Barramundi, which he thought was lovely. We then went back and caught the train back, as Sue and Gwilym had yet more people coming to stay for a few days. That evening Andy and I went to Enmore park because they had a stage with different bands playing and lots of food stalls, even African food!
We had a drink and sat and listened to the music. They had a Crowded House tribute band which was quite good. At 9pm they had some fireworks.
We headed back home for some leftovers for dinner and met Greggor and Anna.

Back to work for both of us. Andy had a new workmate, an Irish guy and all he did all day was pull up weeds, non-stop!
That evening after dinner
we watched a film, which Andy promptly fell asleep to.

It's quite good, now the weekend actually means something!
We caught a bus into the city to book our train tickets to Brokenhill for this Saturday, which is in the outback and in the area where Mad Max was filmed! Very excited. We then caught a bus to Maroubra beach and relaxed and laid about for a few hours.
That evening after a late dinner Andy and I went into Enmore/Newtown to the Irish bar, but it was dead so we went to the Marly Bar where they had a live band on which were quite good.
29.01.06 (Mum's anniversary)
We didn't go to church today but we did get Gwilym to remember mum in the prayers, so that was good.He said she was 'specially remembered'. I went over to the chapel and lit a candle.
We went into Enmore to the bead shop to repair our bracelets that we made in New Zealand. They now look better than when we first made them.
We then headed into the city to check out the Chinese New year, which was officially last night. (The year of the dog)
We went to Paddys Market for a brief walk around and then onto China town where they had a chinese new year market. It was packed! We managed to get a few free tastings of some food. We got several pots of jellyfish that was actually quite nice!
We're good at getting free tasters, we hang about until someone asks us. We've been to markets and not needed lunch for all the free food we can get! After the market we headed to Belmore Park where they had chinese entertainment and food stall, but unfortunately no free food, so we had to settle for our packed lunch.
We saw some chinese opera (at least that's what I think it was) and some dancing dragons and lions, which was cool. They have to do these dances to chase away the bad luck from last year and bring in the good luck for this year.
After we felt sufficiently replenished we headed to the Rocks market again, as it was nice last week.
We walked around there, got lots more free food to try and Andy tried the level 2 chilli this time! From here we took the long walk up George
Street to go on the internet to update you lot. Then more walking to go and catch our bus, we were really shattered after hours of walking!
That night we had a homecooked curry, mmmmmm, and then went for a brief walk.
