Sleeping tablets? Check!!
Despite our repeated efforts to score a flight between Ushuaia and Buenos Aires, we found ourselves on the bus journey to end all bus journeys. Imagine, if you can, sitting on a bus for 51 hours and travelling 3228kms. We had one change of bus after 11.5 hours, a 3 hour 45 minute wait and the final stretch of 36 hours. With the assistance of sleeping tablets and a 1.5 litre bottle of Argentina's best, the journey passed by relatively smoothly, with our only issue being a major overheating issue as the driver didn't see the need for air conditioning. Our biggest complaint - the scenery didn't change for the entire 51 hours. Luckily for us, buses in Argentina are quite a treat compared to other countries around the world.

It was a relief to finally hit Buenos Aires.
