We are heading to The Valley in Corbride to our wonderful Valentine's meal.
For Valentine's day, we decided to take a recommendation from one of our friends here in Newcastle and experience the Curry Train. Because of it's popularity, we made our reservations almost 2 1/2 months prior. The experience included arriving at Newcastle Central Station to be greeted by hosts from The Valley restaurant. They were kind to show us to our train, seat us, and take a prompt wine order for the 45 minute train ride to the town of Corbridge. We paid a set price that included our train ticket and 4 course meal. The nice thing about it all is that the train takes you directly to the platform of the restaurant. Even though the restaurant is right next to the tracks, it is an amazingly quiet and romatic dining experience. While on the train ride, the staff also took our meal orders and called them into the restaurant to have our starters ready for when we arrived. The experience as a whole was absolutely fabulous and we would highly recommend this to all. Mark was very skeptical due to the fact that he is not much of a curry person. However, he has been begging to go back! The

Wonderful set up of our menu, red wine, and a plastic cup. Made Kaitlyn think back to the day she knew Mark was the one with the "English-elegant" Italian dinner in London.
food was exquisite. When we were through with our meal, we went outside and waiting only about ten minutes for the next train to take us back to Central Station.

Here is the website for those looking for recommendations while staying in or around Newcastle.
