The "monkey" in action! The "monkey" in action! The "monkey" in action!

Chris swinging away on a pole in Northern Wales.
Birmingham, stardate: whenever. We saw some stuff, but not much. It was fun. Bought some yogurt, bought some grapes... ate 'em. That was fun.

Liverpool, stardate: sometime after whenever. Great name, has nothing to do with livers, or pools for that matter, but there's a lot of water around it... is that a pool? Actually, Liverpool used to be the foremost port for slave trade between England and America, so we were told. Now, it's full of merry men and women smashed off their "magic" knickers--mostly students and the like. Aside from all that, we liked Liverpool a lot, and we had a great view of it from atop a mangificent cathedral. We were also fortunate enough to walk by the University of Liverpool after grabbing a bite to eat at Kemo's.

Northern Wales, stardate: Uh, what day is it? Following Liverpool, we journeyed to Llandudno and Conwy via a hired car. There are a couple of things that have be explained briefly in the previous sentence: 1) Llandudno is pronounced "Clan-did-no", though it has nothing to do with clans or dids and 2) "hire" means "rent" for you American people. The world's first rotating bridge (it opens up like an eyelid!)
was quite an experience for our chaufer Genevieve--neither of us can drive a manual. In summary, Northern Wales was splendiferous and we wish we could have spent more time there. Moving on...

Newcastle-upon-Tyne, stardate: Once upon a tyne. What is a tyne? I don't know, but apparently Newcastle is upon it. The coolest thing about Newcastle was the neat eyelid bridge thingie that opens like an eyelid thingie bridge thingie--"How's that?" you say? We don't know, we didn't get to see it open, but I'm sure it's wonderful.

Edinburgh, stardate: some stars, some dates, some... stardates. (Note to American reader: Edinburgh rhymes with "thorough"). Gorgeous architecture. If you're planning on traveling to Scotland, you must visit! The castle of Edinburgh, located in the city centre (that's downtown for you folk), sits upon a rock-hill-thingie formed thousands of years ago by a melting glacier. We should have gone in but the entry fee was quite expensive, so we walked around the castle grounds instead.

Glasgow, startdate: now. Haven't been here long enough to do anything. We'll be visiting the Necropolis cemetary, a place with a great view of the city and lots of dead people--it doesn't get any better than that, does it? =)

Unfortunately, we haven't found a place to upload the pictures we've taken, but we will upload them as soon as we can!

--Cheers!

Wow..terrific blog...
Hi Beta, I and Mom read your trekkie language entries and were thrilled. What an experience? Lesson one: Must learn or should know how to drive a manual car when visiting England? Lesson Two: There will be many places where the entry charges will be expensive, but remember you may not get this opportunity again, so decide wisely and make sure visit important historical place... Donot worry about this cost, you can always save somewhere else. Mom really laughed at lot when I read your entried loud to her. Keep blogging. Can't wait to see the pictures. Still missing you lot. Love to all of you. Enjoy and gather rich experience of lifetime. Mom and Dad

Hiya Sweet Kiddies. When you first journeyed into the vast lands of the unknown, everyone wrote wonderful notes to post on your blog. Now....nada!! I am ashamed because I am one of the infamous 'everyone', thereby prompting me to write. Your blogs, are glorious. They give rise to insights far beyond the norm. They also bring joy and laughter to those of us who read them. So, write when you are able, and we will too!!! Because..........we love you a lot!!! Oh.........and we DO miss you, although in all likelyhood you don't miss us because you are having too many great adventures. That's okay.....you are forgiven, and STILL loved! :O)
