flowers at Lighthouse Restaurant
The balcony of a restaurant on the beach area in Nha Trang Hi Everyone:
I am taking advantage of the higher speed computer at the hotel I am at in Da Lat and publishing a quick blog entry. Unfortunately I left 2 of my memory cards in Nha Trang, so I can only publish pictures I've taken in the last two weeks. I know I have a ton of flower photos - I just can't help myself. I have no idea what I will do with all the flower shots when I get home, but at the time I see these things (especially considering the long white winters we have at home), I just can't help but take the shot.
So I dedicate this page to Oma Mueller, Ann, Irena and all my other family and friends who love flowers. The rest of you will just have to humor me!
I’ve seen a lot of flowers and plants that I cannot identify, so maybe some of you can help me out in that department. I took tons of flower pictures in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh) because of the Tet holiday, but they are on different disks.
The other part of this page just gives you a bit of an idea
of the diversity of houses I’ve seen. There are some absolutely gorgeous homes and some that are very basic. The gorgeous homes use a lot of tile and wood and the exterior is brightly colored plaster. I’ve seen some houses under construction and most seem to be made of brick and then covered with a cement-like plaster. Often just the front of the house is painted and the other 3 sides are left unpainted. Homes are usually 3 or more stories and fairly narrow. The price of land is quite steep in town, so as you leave cities, you will see wider homes with not as many stories. In the country, homes are usually very simple and made of wood or corrugated tin. Most have either a tin roof or thatched roofs.

beautiful flowers
I believe that the pink flowers at the bottom of your post are Hybiscis. I am not an expert but I do see them quite often in Arizona.
