Cahuita & Puerto Viejo

I spent the last couple days in the small town of Cahuita. I´m now about 15km southeast in Puerto Viejo. They are both Rasta towns. Lots of raggae. Lots of ganja. Lots of white kids with dread locks trying to fit in among the Carribè and pretending they are not also tourists. I´m planning on leaving on towards Panama tommorrow. I would spend more time but the weather isn´t cooperating. There is a storm system in the Carribean pushing rain and surf into the coast. The normally sky blue carribean water is brown and murky right now. It´s not a big deal. I will be back in March which is the best time to visit. The forecast is calling for rain in the Carribean for the next couple weeks. So I am planning on heading toward the Southwest Pacific coast of Panama. Unless something else comes up. I viewed the property that I´m considering buying yesterday. It is very thick so I didn´t get a chance to walk through it. When my sister comes to look at it we will have to get some Machettes. Otherwise it looked good, about what I expected. I walked about 2 1/2 hours into Cahuita Ntnl Park yesterday. It was Beautiful. Lots of wild life. Also lots of mosquitos in the swampy parts. Even with using reppellent, I probably have about 25 bites. I´m posting some pics of the park.
