My first black run in Whistler just happened to be the Dave Murray Downhill! OK, so the downhill racers tend to take that particular section with skis pointed straight down and I took about a dozen turns, but I was pretty pleased with myself.

More sunshine at the top today, although the valley was shrouded in cloud until right at the end of the day (basically when we were sitting outside the Garibaldi Lift Company with a beer in hand!). But that made for some interesting photos! In case you're interested, the instructor in shot is Petra, along with Matt, who's a little faster than me. For now.

Congrats on conquering your first black run. I'll be thinking of your exploits next time I do the ski game on Wii fit (just like the real thing, methinks).

To be fair, not the first black run ever, but certainly the first done with any confidence/style! Will have to challenge you to Wii ski when I return :-)
