Interview Day!

Tuesday I had my interview at Research International!

Everything went really well, I was only there for about 30 minutes because they did not need me to start today.

My supervisors' names are Robin and Hana.

I'm really excited about my placement because the workplace is very diverse (only 2 people actually from Australia). I found out that the CEO of the company is from Chicago and that's where the company's headquarters is. They told me that they are more than willing to help me get my foot in the door there when I start looking for a job. I'm also excited because they are going to have me do a wide range of tasks, anything from answering phones in reception, greeting clients, to making graphs from data in excel to developing power point presentations for high profile clients such as CocaCola, Phillip Morris, Cadburry and Tourism Australia. I'm looking forward to everything I stand to gain from this experience.

After I left my interview I decided to get to know the area a little better. It's a suburb called 'Chatswood' and I'm very lucky because the train station and 2 malls are basically connected to my building! I couldn't help but do a little shopping! I bought the cutest black shirt for work!

After bumming around the mall for a little bit, I headed back to the train station and went back towards the city where I caught a bus back to my apartment. I'm actually starting to like the public transportation!

Unfortunately, my ATM card isn't working... anywhere!!

There were quite a few of us who didn't work the rest of the day today so we had a little pow wow in the hall that everyone else joined as they came back from work. A group of us then went to the 'Porter House Irish Pub' for dinner and beers around 8pm.

Well it's about 11pm and I'm getting really tired. This is the latest I have stayed up since I've been here! I feel so old.
