my salad and guac. I made. Hello and Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a wonderful time bringing in 2009!!! So I haven't updated for a little while, here is what we have been up to! After Christmas Mark went back to work (day shifts) so I had some more time to myself! I went and signed up to the library around the corner on Parklands Street and actually met some of our neighbours - turns out two of our neighbors work at the library haha!! I didn't have any mail with me with my name and address on it so as I was filling out the forms they said I could bring something in later. I filled in the address and the one woman said "oh OK I can vouch for her" and then introduced herself as my neighbor, Jay. She lives right next door and she had thought when she heard my accent that it might have been Mark's girlfriend from Canada haha. I also used their printers there to print some more resumes/CV's and one for Mark that I mailed away, he is applying for a job where he would be driving and delivering steel materials - it would be more of a

me and Mark on xmas day heading to his parents 9-5 Mon - Fri thing so hopefully it was not already taken! We found the ad in the paper and I helped him update his resume. I've applied for another admin job as well. Actually I should start to hear somethings now, as the closing date for a lot of them were Jan. 5th. Although, I am enjoying myself just helping take care of the house, reading and relaxing! hoping Mark will get me a puppy too!!! Wouldn't that be wonderful!!! We also were looking after Mark's sister Steph's dogs while her and Daniel were away - we also stayed over there on Monday night cause Brock was home alone - he is 16 but Steph didn't want any parties lol. So Wednesday (New Years Eve) I went and fed the dogs and took them for a LONG walk. They showed me the way to the beach by their house and there are all these great trails, one that led to the beach near our house, stopped in at our place and gave the dogs a drink then took the road back to their place - it was almost a 2 hour walk! Mark was off around 3:30 pm and

Sexy Mark on Fitzroy beach got home while I was getting ready. I chatted with mom and dad and actually got a little home sick for the first time. Mark got home and asked if I was excited for the concert but I said NO and how I was kind of sad! poor guy! but I got out of my mood and we went to his friend Noddy and Abby's. I took some pics of their place - it looks like a sand castle from the outside! We had a BBQ and then headed in to town - town being Oakura - and went to Butlers Reef (bar) where they had a big tent set up on the lawn where the bands were playing. It was really fun! I should not have worn heals - they are covered in mud! Got my new years kiss from Mark 😊 and then we headed to a party down the road. Met some more nice ppl, played darts and beer pong etc. then headed home! I was feeling alright in the morning, we were up at around 8:30 am actually but then started going downhill after breakfast. We got home and showered and then took a nap! We

Fitzroy beach, you can see New Plymouth in the distance got up around 4pm when Mel called me! Got up and walked the dogs, took them to the beach and let them swim and chase a stick around for a hour! Then we ordered pizza from Hell's Pizza - best pizza ever! You get to pick 8 toppings for $16! We had garlic mayo sauce, cheese - some brie kind of cheese - avocado, sundried tomatoes, caramelized onion, spinach and chicken. We picked it up and went and ate by the Ocean. Then rented 21 and crashed around 11pm. It was a really nice first day to the new year! Yesterday we went to this small dirt bike track in Oaonui and on the way home stopped in at Mark's friends - the family that he lived with actually while he was doing his farming course a 1000 years ago - well I think he was 17 or so? They are really nice, big family, and are having a 21st birthday party tonight for their son Matt tonight. I'm glad I got to meet them yesterday though before the party. I cooked a yummy pasta for dinner and we had a glass of wine and then played poker with our
