SEAWORLD

Those aren’t bags under my eyes - they’re circles of FUN!!
I’m noticing my eyes are a little bloodshot and cloudy and there’s extra colors under them. The price you pay for fun, I guess?!? That’s why there’s Visine, right?

It was an absolutely gorgeous drive to San Diego! We rolled down our windows, had our shades on, changed from turtlenecks and longsleeves to shorts and t-shirts. It was great! We met up with our friends, the Bludaus, at Sea World and enjoyed yet another park. Those Beluga Whales were incredible. It was a perfect picture of strength and blubber working gracefully and powerfully together in melodious movements. God is so amazing in all his creation and creatures! They were truly stunning! We caught the dolphin show and the Shamu show. The whole park had beautiful live music throughout. They even opened Shamu with a Michael W. Smith Christmas song, a whole choir doing smooth moves from the 70s singing about Christ Jesus’ birth - Praise the Lord! What a joy! A classical guitarist and a saxophone soloist were part of the show too! Once the sun went down it was COLD and we were still dressed for sun - bbbrrrrrrrrrrr! It’s been hard to keep an even temperature here in Cali in December - very deceiving weather. And difficult to pack and dress when you’re experiencing all 4 seasons in any given day.

The fog set in and we drove to the Dana Hotel to find another family doing a Christmas trip in Cali, our friends the Lenockers. So our 3 families all enjoyed dinner together, steak, tacos, and pickled, jalapeno carrots for 15 of us. It was fun and odd that we were all vacationing in the same area at the same time from back home. Pretty cool! We parked at the King’s Inn parking lot and hunkered down for the night. Our friend Mike checked in with us about our house and pets and the 5’ of snow that’s piled up in our yard and on our roof - YIKES! We’re missing all you back home!!! We’ll be back soon with our shovels ready!
