HEIDI
It only seems fitting that we touched down at Heathrow airport in dense fog. We have spent almost 2 weeks in England with family and friends. Highlights so far...
1) Our friend Chris Fitchew's 30th birthday party in London at the Cobden Club. He put on quite a show, including the lead singer from Rent on Broadway performing a song, a trapeze artist, ukelele playing women and amazing singers and dancers.
2) Seeing the entire Liverpool football team in our hotel lobby.
3) Amelia dying Justin's hair blond then shaving it so he looks like an older version of Eminem.
4) Eating in a turret at The Bay Cafe on Kilburn High Street - really delicious cheap Eastern European food by candlelight.

Some tips if you are planning a trip to England. Take money out of the ATM instead of using your credit card, you will save transaction fee charges that way. If you are going to London buy an Oyster card at any underground station to save you money and make things much easier. Skip the London Eye and instead walk to the top of Primrose Hill for an amazing free view of the City.

Leaving Derby will be sad as all of my friends and family are here. It has been so nice to take Alec and Zack back to the places where I grew up. They love it here. The four of us being together has been awesome. We leave for China in two days, dropping Alec off in Newark to fly back to San Diego before we leave the following day for Beijing . Until our next update I want to wish everyone a great holiday and New Year.

One of my favorite things about England is that the whole family can go to the pub on a Sunday afternoon and order a vegetarian lunch.
