So, after 134 days, 14 countries, 3 continents and the most amazing experiences of our lives, we are now flying home to London!! It feels very surreal somehow, not only to be flying home, but also to think back to what we have seen, done, eaten, smelt, experienced over the last 4 1/2 months. With not one argument or cross word, our adventure has brought us closer together as a couple and the experiences we have shared, we will carry with us forever - (and probably bore the people around us forever with our stories!) We will have photos, videos, souvenirs and most importantly our memories to keep our adventure alive.

We really couldn't think of a more exciting, rewarding, and wonderful way to spend the months before our wedding. Even though we will soon dive head first back into reality (after Jonathan and Anna's wedding in St Lucia of course!), we both feel that our adventure has changed us - not in a cliched "we found ourselves" way, but in a way that after seeing all we have seen, there is no way our experiences could not have had a very profound impact on us. From physical challenges like our 4-day trek to Machu Picchu, to mental challenges like the Vietnam War museum and "Killing Fields," to the emotional challenges of visiting the ethnic minority villages near Luang Prabang, walking through the dirt streets of Hanoi and experiencing a constant stream of child beggars in Lake Atitlan, Guatemala, and to the beauty.... The sunsets, the islands of Koh Phi Phi and Ambergris Caye, the beaches of Bondi, Playa Cocles and Ipanema, the warmth of people and smiling faces in Cambodia, Laos and Belize, and the stunning scenery of New Zealand, Halong Bay, the Mekong Delta, Pacaya Volcano, and the view from Christ's statue in Rio. How can all these experiences not alter the way you view your life and your place in the world, and make you realise just how privileged you are?

This list only scratches the surface of what Albert and I have been fortunate enough to experience over the last 4 1/2 months. We feel grateful, fortunate, and honoured to the people we have met and the experiences we have shared.

A and A's adventure may have ended but our many memories will endure...

Thank you to everyone who sent us messages and comments - you'll never know just how much they meant to us xxxxxxx
