I leave on Monday!

I leave the U.S at 4:50pm on Jan. 16th. Yeah! I am ready to go because I'm worrying so much now about all the little details of the trip that it is TIME to leave.

I will fly from Chicago to London and after 6 hours in the Heathrow airport I will finally fly into Seville, Spain on the 17th. After spending a night in Seville (hostel?) I will fly to Milan, Italy! Then a whirlwind tour of Itlay begins.

From January 18th to the 24th I will be taking the Eurail across Italy to see the major sights (Rome, Florence, Pisa...). Classes in Seville don't start until the 25th so I'm squeezing this in. I will travel Italy with my friend Andrea from JBU and a new friend, Hannah, who is doing the Seville program also.

I would appreciate all prayers for safety and for a good sense of direction. Besides the goal of wanting to learn more Spanish this semester, I would like to learn how to read a map...... 😊

So glad you can have this experience, Emily. Be careful to stay close to your two traveling companions in Italy. Italian men are very pushy and fresh with female tourists, according to an experience that my daughter Mary Beth had in Italy years ago.
