I did the free tour with Straytravel today. They picked us up at 10:30 from the bar at the Fat Camel. Worm was our tourguide, he is Canadian, but was quite funny. Riwi rode shotgun, he is from up in Northland somewhere. And yes they did think we had wild animals as pets!

First stop was the Sky Tower, one of the girls in our group won a Sky Jump & she nearly wet herself!

Next stop was the Michael Savage Memorial Park, & Bastion Point in Mision Bay. There is some nice house ot there along Tamaki Drive.

Next up was Mount Eden, a volcanic crater near Manakau. There was some spectacular views of the city and surrounds from there. Also found a big compas that shows you how far you are from home (12180km) and in which direction it lies. Must confess I got a little homesick there for a second!

Down the road we stopped off at the Cardron Speight's Ale House for lunch.

We drove past the Auckland Museum, which was burried in an earthquake in the 1980s. All that remains is a couple of corners of the building sticking out of the ground.

Next stop was the Harbour Bridge Bungy, a 40m jump from beneath the bridge. We got hooked onto a cable and walked out underneath the brige to the bungee site and whatched a few people jump.

All in all it was quite a cool tour and it didn't cost me a cent!

Tomorrow I hit the ferry to Coromandel & the great unknown! Can't wait!

Troll
Trolls scare me no wonder we hardly ever cross the bridge.
