Quintana Roooooooo!!

Captains Log - 09/11/08

So onwards on American Airlines (really crappy airline do not fly with them) with some French family from the Alsace who's kid was wearing a weird head brace to rounden (to make round) his head - strange looking contraption, never seen one of those before but at least he didn't cry on the plane!

So they let us into Mexico - Marcel had a lighter in his pocket too (goddammit he could set the seats alight!)

With a hop and a skip from Cancun on coach and ferry to Cozumel, we arrived the apartment Nivea recommended to us in New York (Thanks Nivea - what a gem of a contact to let us in on).

Marcel insisted on yomping 55 blocks in the mid day heat - 30 degrees C with our backpacks on (we have got tooo much stuff) to find a nice and comfy with all mod cons apartment waiting for us (brand new pillows too, thanks to the owner Gabriella. Lilah did the same in New York we are adding to the world pillow mountain) The bed was so big we could both lie in it length ways, sideways, anyways.

Captains Log - 10/11/08

Day 2 in Cozumel, we hired a car on the internet saving over 50%!o(MISSING)n walking in the hire stores.
We drove to the east of the island and discovered miles of empty beaches, fine sand, blue sea and millions of pieces of Coral on the beach - some bigger than footballs but mostly the size of tennis balls, really amazing.
So far our experience of Mexico has been of really warm people, lots of smiles and staying in a residential area meant we got a tiny glimpse of everyday life with our neighbours inviting us to see their new born baby and a local cerveza shop opposite attracting Marcel with the occasional Negro Modelo.

There are a lot of dogs in Cozumel, some nice, some not. We are beginning to wind down from London and Cozumel is everything we hoped it would be - Sun, Sand and Sea although we had never heard of the place before New York.
nice

Is there a trauma surgeon on board? Lovely Melissa & Phil made us feel very safe on board a boat full of advanced divers as Marcel did his PADI
