St. Thomas and its View!

Our day in St. Thomas was a nice one. Having friends who have already been there, I was told I had to do the sky ride to the top of the mountain and enjoy a “bushwaker” with the view. We found out that there were reduced rates for the crew, so we were off and away.

The ride up the mountain didn’t take long but it was a gorgeous view. Looking down on our little ship, she really did look like a baby behind the gigantic Carnival ship that was in port with us. We love our little ship though!

Once at the top, we did some looking around, watched some local performers, then enjoyed our Bailey’s Bushwakers and eating Taco Salads - yes, all 6 of us ordered the same thing. Hahaha

After lunch, we head to a resort that my friend Chuck had told me about. We didn’t realize until we got there that it was a private resort and beach, but we continued anyway. No one said anything and we met up with some of our performer friends for drinks at the pool bar and a friendly game of pool volleyball. We soaked up some sun, and just enjoyed our day at “our” private resort.

ahh . . . heavy sigh
Hi Boo, Man, the beaches and aqua-marine sea and sky take me right back to the Caribbean, warm temperatures and light, tropical breezes. Then, I look down and see snow boots and shovels and reality kicks me in the shins. Alas, hang in there with the children, cuz you're one lucky camper. Godspeed, Sarah. Love you now and always, DAD XXX OOO
